  2.  1.Gynaecoid pelvis: (50%)
  3.   It is commonly known as the female pelvis because that type occurs most frequently in women. 
  4.  Most suitable for childbirth.
  5.   Wider brim.
  6.   Ischial spines are blunt 
  7.  Sub pubic angle is 90º

  9.  2.Anthropoid pelvis: (25%)
  10.   It favors a posterior position of the fetus.
  11.  Oval in shape 
  12.  Transverse diameter is shorter
  13.   Seen in tall women with narrow shoulders

  15.  3.Android pelvis: (20%) 
  16.  It is commonly known as male pelvis because it occurs more frequently in men
  17. .  Heart shaped brim
  18.   Anterior posterior diameter is shorter 
  19.  Transverse diameter is wider  Childbirth is difficult

  21.  4.Platypelloid (flat) pelvis: (5%)
  22.   This type of pelvis is rare.
  23.   Kidney shaped brim 
  24.  Anterior posterior diameter is smaller 
  25.  Transverse diameter is wider
  26.   Not conductive to vaginal delivery
