  2.  1.Gynaecoid pelvis: (50%)
  3.   It is commonly known as the female pelvis because that type occurs most frequently in women. 
  4.  Most suitable for childbirth.
  5.   Wider brim.
  6.   Ischial spines are blunt 
  7.  Sub pubic angle is 90º

  8.  2.Anthropoid pelvis: (25%)
  9.   It favors a posterior position of the fetus.
  10.  Oval in shape 
  11.  Transverse diameter is shorter
  12.   Seen in tall women with narrow shoulders

  13.  3.Android pelvis: (20%) 
  14.  It is commonly known as male pelvis because it occurs more frequently in men
  15. .  Heart shaped brim
  16.   Anterior posterior diameter is shorter 
  17.  Transverse diameter is wider  Childbirth is difficult

  18.  4.Platypelloid (flat) pelvis: (5%)
  19.   This type of pelvis is rare.
  20.   Kidney shaped brim 
  21.  Anterior posterior diameter is smaller 
  22.  Transverse diameter is wider
  23.   Not conductive to vaginal delivery
